Puzzle, Gilbert Conjuring Rings

Puzzle, Gilbert Conjuring Rings

Usage conditions apply
This disentanglement puzzle consists of two intertwined metal rings. A green paper card gives instructions on how to separate them. A mark on the card reads: Gilbert Conjuring Rings. Another mark reads: THE A. C. GILBERT COMPANY NEW HAVEN, CONN., U. S. A. Another mark reads: M 104 No. 11 4-17. Assuming M 104 is the model number and 4-17 the date of the card, this object is slightly earlier than the conjuring rings shown in the 1920 catalog cited below.
A.C. Gilbert Company, Book of Instructions for Use with Gilbert Puzzle Parties...., New Haven: A.C. Gilbert Company, 1920, p. 5. A copy of this booklet is online at gamearchives.org, accessed July 26, 2017. The model number given to the conjuring rings here is 830.
