Description (Brief)
Wooden box with earpiece in center of hinged metal top. Unit is essentially a diaphragm-type transmitter with a carbon cylinder mounted inside. Brass cross pieces provide support for the carbon unit and contact spring. Marked: "Brooks / 1891 / Newman".
