Trouses type K box of parts for airplane generator

Description (Brief):

Service kit for aircraft electrical generator. Brass plate on top reads: "Trousse Type K", stamped and stenciled on lid: "USI 249 P". A flat wooden box with brass fittings. Both clasps missing. A wooden pin extends into the box from under the lid, and several wooden pieces are glued inside to create 4 (empty) compartments. A leather strap in the lid retained three brass star plates "1760" (each with a different number of points: 8, 12 and 16, respectively). The plates have been set in the bottom of the box to preserve the leather strap. Three leather straps in the bottom: one holds a gear puller, another holds a hex wrench, the third holds an oiler. A tag in the box reads: "1 Box Tools / from / Lieut. Hoyt. / Aircraft Prod", on opposite side: "Test / 2400G-7 / 5 of 12".
