Description (Brief)
Nameplate: "Direct Current Fan Motor / No. 638226 / Amp..31 / D.L. 7440 / Volts, 230 / Sprague Electric Works of General Electric Co. / New York U.S.A." On field coil: "4876". This is a round motor of the Lundell design with a circular field magnet winding. The armature is missing. This specimen may have been used for demonstration purposes. Reference: Lundell Motors, Sprague Electric Company - Bulletin 206, June 1901, page 26.
