Model for US Patent 237608, "Switch for Electric Lamps," issued 8 April 1881 to William Sawyer. Round wooden base with five contact screws and covered by a rotating nickel switch cap. Four of the five contacts have copper wire stubs attached. Original Patent Office tag included.
