- Patent model for Frederick A. Hubel and Frank Reinhold, “Device for Stirring Melted Gelatine for Making Capsules,” U.S. Patent 316,896 (April 28, 1885). The inventors lived in Detroit, Mich. Hubel was a manufacturer of gelatin capsules, and a supplier to the drug firm, Parke, Davis & Co.
