Garfield Low Volt Wave Generator, Model LV-44

Description:

An inscription on the front of this device reads “GARFIELD / MEDICAL APPARATUS CO. / NEW YORK / SERIAL NO. 1003.” Garfield Medical Apparatus Co., a partnership of Milton and Lily Fink, was in business in New York by 1944. In 1950, the Federal Communications Commission found that diathermy apparatus interfered with authorized communication services.
