Description
A paper label in the lid of the wooden box reads in part “DIRECTIONS FOR VOLTAMP BATTERY NO. 6 ‘MAJESTIC’.” An inscription on the coil reads “VOLTAMP / TRADE MARK.” The Voltamp Electric Manufacturing Co., which was established by Manus E. Fuld (1863-1956) in Baltimore, ca. 1904, made batteries for medical purposes, and later electric trains.
