Description
This dental excavator belonged to Thomas Wiltberger Evans (1823-1897), an American dentist who lived in Paris and attracted rich and notable people to his practice. Dr. Evans gave the excavator to Lester L. Evans, a great-nephew, and he donated it to the Smithsonian.
