- Description
- Electrically operated physio-therapy machine with inscriptions that read “GALVANIC MODEL B / SERIAL NO. 0-132” and “MANUFACTURED BY / THE QUADSON INSTRUMENT CO. / 3115 VENICE BLVD. / LOS ANGELES 6, CALIF.” In 1950, William G. Eckert, doing business as Quadson Instrument Co., applied for two trademarks—MAGNIFLEX and MEDCOTRONIC—for electrically-operated physiotherapy machines. The firm was convicted of false and misleading claims in the 1960s.
