- Description
- One inscription in the lid of this box of lenses reads “NACHET & FILS / 17 RUE ST. SEVERIN, 17 / PARIS.” Another reads “J. REYNDERS & CO. / Surgical & Orthopediactrical / Instruments / 303 Fourth Ave. / NEW YORK.” Nachet & Fils was a major optical house in Paris that began in business, as such, around 1862. John Reynders & Co. was a surgical and optical supply house in New York that began in business in 1870.
