Glass vial with black plastic cap and adhesive paper label (hand-written). Vial contains white crystals."Vial containing a portion of a 105.4 grams of Chloromycetin crystals, isolated by Dr. Quentin R. Bartz in July-August, 1947 from a pilot plant fermentation batch produced in July, 1947, under the instructions of Drs. Bartz and John Ehrlich. The bulk of this sample was used for toxicological studies undertaken at Parke, Davis and Co."
