This was made in Japan and was a distinctive part of the history of Japanese technology as the first robot pet built for homes in 1999. It was sold to Japan and limited amounts in the US, but all were built in Japan. So why is it in the museum of American history? And why is it considered a toy on this website? This robot was hugely aimed towards adults. Not criticizing but wanted to throw in my knowledge about these robots... Lol
