This photograph shows Gertrud Bejach, the original owner of a set of cards called Zauerspiel (see 1988.0195.01). Blanch is six years old. Her daughter, Eva M. Lande, would save the cards, bring them to the Unived States, and eventually donate them to the Smithsonian.
