This albarello has a red wooden lid, and a white under glaze with blue, yellow and green fruit and flowers. A portrait of a man wearing a helmet is depicted within a green shield of leaves. George Urdang author of The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue describes this as 17th century from northern Italy or Switzerland.
