George Urdang author of The Squibb Ancient Pharmacy Catalogue attributes the provenance of 1991.0664.0681 through 1991.0664.0705 to Niderwiller, a town near Strasbourg in the Alsace region of France. This baluster-shaped syrup jar has a scallop edged foot and a flat round lid. It has a white-glaze background with two continuous rings of blue, orange and yellow stylized flowers. The lid has an applied handle shaped like a berry with a slim green stem and single leaf.
