Balance

Description (Brief):

Hand-held coin balance with an iron beam, and pans and weights of brass. There are 18 square-tapered weights and 8 fraction weights, housed in a hinged wooden case. The set was made in Germany by John Peter Poppenberg, and dated 1780.
