Text on the back of the package reads, in part, “MITCHELL’S ORIGINAL KIDNEY PLASTERS” and “The productions of G. E. Mitchell for 1895 / Southville, Mass.” George E. Mitchell established the Pioneer Novelty Plaster Works in Lowell, Mass., in 1864. He moved the firm to Southville, a village in Worcester County, in 1898.
