Blown glass holiday or Christmas ornament in the shape of a bird (swan). Red over mirrored silver glass with white painted eye and stripes on either side of body for wings. White spun glass (angel hair) tail protrudes from end. Thin bent wire attaches at top of body to curled (annealed) piece of glass on top of back for hanging. No mark. These ornaments were in production prior to 1940, and then also produced after that time, making it difficult to date.
Molded glass holiday or Christmas ornament. Ball, mirrored yellow-gold finish. Metal cap with thin bent wire holder and hook attached, cap is stamped: “MADE IN U.S.A.” In 1937, a tariff decision (no. 54387) reversed earlier decisions regarding the marking of ornaments with their country of origin, established in the 1890 MicKinley Tariff Act and the Smoot-Havley Tariff Act of 1930. The ornament itself now had to be marked with with its country of origin by stamping it into the cap or by way of tag or sticker.

Molded glass holiday or Christmas ornament. Ball, red over mirrored silver, with silver metal cap attached, bent wire loop inserted in cap, bent wire hanger attached. Cap is stamped: “SHINY BRITE/MADE IN USA”.
