Plain, lidless baluster measure with a galleried rim and flared base; half gill size. Tapered, D- or ear-shaped, tinplate strap handle with folded edges soldered at rim and body. Rim exterior stamped incuse "A C(?)" to left of handle. Bottom exterior scratched with the serif letters "CVN". No maker's marks.
Bulbous or bellied measure with a forward-scrolled thumb piece; quarter gill size. Low-domed lid with two incised lines around center. Molded, galleried rim and flared base; one pair of incised lines around body. No hinge lug; hinge is attached to plate burnt to the tapered S-scroll handle above the ridged thumbrest. Rim exterior stamped to left of handle "1/4 GILL" in incuse italic letters with two verification marks to left, a crowned "VR" mark for Fife County ("209") and the coat of arms of Glasgow. Bottom inside stamped "X".
Thistle measure; one-eighth gill size. Plain bands around rim and base. Spurred D- or ear-shaped handle with short lower terminal; cylindrical struts. Front of body stamped "1/8 GILL" in incuse serif letters. Rim exterior stamped with verification mark for Glasgow to left of handle, and with "223" to left and right of handle in two font sizes. Plain baluster measure with a galleried rim and flared base; missing lid. Half gallon size. Slender, strap handle with hinge lug and stepped thumbrest; short terminal with circular strut. Rim exterior stamped to right of handle with a small, incuse circle containing the raised serif letters "ES" separated by a four-lobed motif with pellet above and below, and a partial mark possibly of a crown over an "N" in conforming surround, placed sideways. Illegible circular mark on top of handle. Bottom exterior is incised around perimeter "*WILLEM*BOGADVS* 15 APRIL - ANNO 1694*" and stamped incuse "EB(?)" in a rectangle; the serif letters "IL" are lightly scratched at center.
Maker is Edward Smith of London; mark entered November 17, 1690 (Cotterell, #4345A, p. 307).
Very small, lidless, bulbous or bellied measure with a beaded, galleried rim and cast circular foot; 1/24 pint size. Two pairs of scored lines near midbody. Tapered, S-scroll handle with incurved thumbrest and lower pointed terminal. Rim exterior stamped incuse on front "24". Bottom exterior stamped "[HAR]RY MASON L\[TD] / BIRMINGHAM" in incuse sans serif letters.
Harry Mason's was established circa 1912 in Birmingham, England; manufacturer of metal bar and drink dispensing equipment (pewter, copper, etc.). Business still in operation as Mason's.

Slender, strap handle with stepped thumbrest; upper terminal attached at rim and lower short terminal with circular strut. Partial crowned "GR" verification mark stamped incuse to right of handle. Plain Paris type shouldered flagon or pichet with a ball-and-disk tab thumb piece and stepped extension burnt to the heart-shaped, slightly pouted lid; five-knuckle hinge. Strap handle with ridged thumbrest and short square terminal; short square strut. No marks.
Jersey measure or flagon with double-acorn thumb piece, engraved "E.L R" in serif letters on face of handle; pot (two quart) size. Wedge extension is burnt to the plain, pointed and pouted lid. Plain body with a slightly flared rim and an incised, flared base. Strap handle with short terminal; circular strut. No other marks.
Baluster measure with bud thumb piece; gallon size. Stepped, triangular extension is burnt to the flat lid, which has a pair of incised lines around edge and center. Body has a galleried rim and flared base; one pair of incised lines around rim and two around body. Tapered, S-scroll handle with rounded shield-shape terminal; cylindrical strut. Large serif letter "S" stamped incuse sideways on handle outside near top. No other marks.

Plain body with a slightly flared rim and incised base. Strap handle with short terminal; cylindrical strut. Crowned "GR" mark stamped incuse to left of handle. Bottom exterior incised "E:L.".
Lidless baluster measure or pitcher with tapered rim, three incised lines around neck, and molded base with slightly concave bottom; approximate pint capacity. S-scroll strap handle with triangular thumb rest and lower tab terminal. No marks.
Bracket-handled, cylindrical metric measure with a sloped collar pinched into spout and a conforming inset lid; molded lower rim and base. Hooked tab thumb piece with wedge extension; five-knuckle hinge; stepped thumbrest Stamped on front of body "DEMI / DECILITRE" in incuse serif letters; on front of lower rim with "** / 3" next to clasped hands in an oval; on face of handle with clasped hands mark; and on extension and top of rim with an indecipherible number of letter verification marks. Top center of lid with partial, faint, incuse stamp of a standing woman holding an anchor inside an oval with a conforming band below containing the raised serif letters "WILLS[???]". Repairs on body.
From a set of six measures, DL*67.0100-.0105, which were (according to catalog card) "From attic of an old New Hampshire farm house where it was stored for over a hundred years." Mark is similar, but not identical, to that for T. & W. Willshire of Bristol, England, ca. 1800, illustrated in Cotterell, #5203, p. 338.
