Tapered, C-scroll handle has spurred thumbrest; both terminals attached to body. Illegible mark on rim interior. Rim exterior stamped to left of handle with verification mark for Bath. The blind hinge lug is thought to be an Aberdeen feature.

Tapered, D- or ear-shaped handle has an arched and tongued thumbrest; upper scrolled terminal with stepped oval attachment below neck; flat lower terminal attached at midband. Slender, strap handle with plain upper terminal attached at rim and lower short terminal with conical strut. Partial verification marks for Guernsey of a five-petaled rose and a fleur-de-lis are on opposite sides of rim exterior. Bottom exterior deeply stamped "ETR" in incuse serif letters.

Small Chartres type bulbous or bellied flagon or pichet with a high collar cut away at back for the flat inset lid, which is stamped incuse "P D" and incised with two concentric circles at center; no spout. Beaded angled tab thumb piece and lamb's-tongue extension. Molded bands around top of neck, shoulder, and lower body above flared base. Faint incised lines around collar. Strap handle with ridged thumbrest and short square terminal; cylindrical strut. No other marks.

Gaskell & Chambers was established circa 1892 in Birmingham, England; manufacturer of metal bar and drink dispensing equipment (pewter, copper, etc.). They likely made these measures using molds originally owned by James Yates (working under his own name, 1860-1891). Although Gaskell & Chambers did not intend to deceive, their measures have been sold as or faked to be by Yates.
Bracket-handled, cylindrical metric measure with high collar pinched into spout at front and sloped at back for the rounded inset lid; molded lower rim and base. Hooked tab thumb piece with wedge extension; seven-knuckle hinge has domed-end hinge pin; stepped thumbrest. Stamped on front of body "DEMI LITRE" in incuse serif letters; on front of lower rim with "3" next to clasped hands in an oval; on face of handle and top of lid with clasped hands mark; and on extension and to left of handle with nine letter verification marks. Underside of flat bottom struck with three touchmarks, twice with "AIC" in an imperial crown over a Tudor rose and once below with "F.BOULANGET" in incuse serif letters.
