Eleven circular Turkish weights, marked with dates between 272 and 278 (corresponding to 886-892 C.E.). Cyrus Adler, a Biblical archaeologist with a PhD from the Johns Hopkins University who served as Honorary Curator of the Smithsonian’s Department of Antiquities, collected these in Constantinople, in 1891.
