This official TSA Coin was designed and used in 2002 when the TSA was originally part of the Department of Transportation. This coin was carried by Chris Larrick, Special Assistant to the Under Secretary John Magaw who was TSA's first administrator. The backside reads: "The Transportation Security Administration protects the Nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce - Established November 19, 2001." These coins were given out for special recognition.
This hat was worn by Federal Air Marshal Bill McCracken in 2002 as he was undergoing his initial FAMS training. The black patch on the front depicts an airplane and the inscription "United States of America Federal Air Marshal Service."
