Defense stamps were used as savings toward Series E war bonds. Stamps were available in 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, and $5 demonimations. All stamps had the minuteman statue.
Scrap drives encouraged by the War Production Board were held by state and local governments as a way for citizens on the homefront to collect and have rubber, metal and paper items contribute to the war effort.
