Pair of steel ice skates consisting of a shaped, metal toe piece with adjustable brackets, heel piece with vertical heel guard and a leather strap. These are Union Extension skates, patented on Jan 19, 1892.
Single metal ice skate with a steel runner and steel toe and heel plates with adjustable clamps. There is a thin rod which goes up the calf and straps to the leg with leather straps. This skate was made by Barney & Berry and patented May 3, 1859, June 11, 1867 and May 12, 1868.
Pair of nickel-plated, gilt covered roller skates with toe and heel clamps. the woode wheels are held by cotter pins. According to the donor "these skates were used by Mr. W. M. Drown and his daughter Jessie Darling (Drown) for exhibition skating in roller skating rinks during the first skating 'craze' in the early 1880s."
