Cooker contains a removable wire caddy or lifter with four rings in circular frame and central shaft handle formed from four scrolled supports. Holder underside is stamped incuse with a curvilinear shield containing "ROGERS, SMITH (arched) / - & C\o - / NEW HAVEN (curved) / CONN." with "4" and "01" above and below.
"Ultra" pattern teapot; features a slender, inverted ovoid body with conical, hinged lid topped by an ovoid knop on a short, fluted pedestal with conical base; two, low-relief, vertical ears of wheat are applied to sides of body and knop. Hollow, C-curve handle is pinned into thin insulators and flared sockets. Body perforated at shallow, S-curve spout. Underside struck with maker's mark and pattern number. Greek-American industrial designer John Vassos (1898-1985) designed the "Ultra" pattern in 1934 for R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. of Wallingford, CT; 1871-present. "Ultra" flatware 1989.0700.01-.06, five-piece coffee and tea service 1989.0700.07-.11, and bowl 1989.0700.12, all belonged to the Vassos family.

D-handled, coffee or hot water urn with tall cylindrical neck and ovoid lower body on circular, domed pedestal base mounted by four cast elk or stag head's legs with hoof feet; rounded cover is topped by a cube-and-ball finial. Cover, neck and body feature flat-chased curvilinear arches and pendants with shells and rosettes at their centers; body has swags with tassels connecting the pendants and two empty rectangular reserves at front and back. Knuckled-arm spigot has twist handle with bone knobs. Scroll-bracketed circular frame attached to interior of legs holds a removable, scroll-handled, single-wick spirit burner. Underside of base struck incuse with the circular, balanced-scales-in-shield mark of "MERIDEN / B. COMPANY", overstruck by another incuse circular mark for "ROGERS & BRO. / WATERBURY CONN." in serif letters; both above "1874 1/2".

Rounded, imitation spot-hammered or planished, rectangular case with engine-turned bands and rectangular reserve engraved "W / M / H" at top left on the spring-loaded lid. Inside back has two small tabs at bottom corners to hold matches in place. Push-tab catch at front center; hinge and jump ring at back. Inside bottom right tab is struck "W.M.CO" in raised block letters in individual surrounds above "066". Right edge inside lid is struck "PAT. A.R.T. MFG. CO." and "PAT. RE. NOV.29-1904" in incuse sans serif letters.
Patented by A.R.T. Mfg. Co. of New York, NY; firm made pieces for the retail trade, including Tiffany, Gorham and others. Maker identified as Watrous Manufacturing Co. of Wallingford, CT, 1896-present; successor to Maltby, Stevens & Co., 1890-1896, and was one of the companies that founded International Silver Co. in 1898. Not known when this mark was used; needs further research.

Square glass inkwell with beveled corners, faceted shoulders and an octagonal stopper that fits into a stand shaped as a circular, rigid, hand-held fan on four disc feet, the handle oxidized and fan gold washed. Stand has a central square opening and is chased with an asymmetrical Japanesque design featuring a diagonal wrigglework band of semicircles and a curving plant to right. Two cast moths or butterflies attached near handle form a pen holder. Stand underside is struck with an incuse circular mark containing a pointed shield with balanced scales above a crosslet, all bordered by "▪ MERIDEN ▪ / B. COMPANY" in sans serif letters; the number "30" is below.
Two-handled, fluted baluster-shape hot water urn with fluted domed cover topped by smaller domed finial; circular base is mounted to four, tall, cast cabriole legs decorated with anthemions, acanthus and pendant beads ending in scroll feet, inside of which a circular frame is attached that holds a removable spirit burner with long-handled, hinged cap; unused wick inside. Applied beading at rim and underbelly of fluted body; C-curve handles with scrolled leaves stemming from circular, flared and lobed upper terminals. Underside of body stamped with circular, fist-with-lightning-bolts "x ROGERS & BRO. x / TRIPLE PLATE" trademark above "2011" and "U.S.A.", while front of twist spigot handle with ivory knobs is marked "[PA]TENT. JAN'Y. 26, 1869."
Circular urn-shaped teapot on a beaded, domed pedestal base with beaded, conical hinged lid topped by a cast bulbous vase. Flat-chased and engraved floral and strapwork designs decorate the incurved neck and ovoid body. Bands of large beads at rim and bottom of neck and base. Cast, leafy scrollwork S-curve spout and S-curve handle; handle is pinned into thin insulators with a flared shell or fan for the upper socket and the lower terminal attached with a rosette. Body finely perforated at spout. Circular medallion or tag applied to underside of rounded bottom is embossed "* ROGERS, SMITH & C\o. (arched) / (flourish) / N\o. / NEW HAVEN, C\T. * (curved)" and struck incuse "1833" and "5". From same service as syrup pitcher and stand, DL*60.1146B-.1147.
