Ring and vase are attached to an S-scrolled band on four ball feet embellished with violets and four-petaled flowers. Die-rolled, aesthetic-style, asymmetrical geometric and floral patterns encircle the ring while arabesques fill the support band. Base underside is struck with an incuse circular mark containing a pointed shield with balanced scales bordered by "MERIDEN / B. COMPANY" in sans serif letters above "223"; an old rectangular white typescript label is adhered below.
