Flared sides and everted rim with downturned edge are segmented by five sinuous ribbons overrun by a wreath of wild roses open at one corner, leaving an empty reserve. No monogram. Underside of well struck incuse with circular mark for "THE VAN BERGH S.P.CO. (arched) / ROCHESTER, NY (curved)" enclosing "QUADRUPLE / PLATE", and "5353" below. Mark or front side of blade stamped “THO\S(???)TRAM & SONS / [MANUF]ACTURERS / [SHE]FFIELD” in incuse serif letters. Bail-handled frame with a bead-bordered and pierced reeded rim above heart-shaped wirework sides with pendant cast tassels on three splayed scroll-and-paw feet; hinged wirework handle with empty oval boss at bow. Clear raspberry-red glass bowl insert or liner. No marks.
Old English type ladle with offset horizontal oval bowl and rounded downturned handle with midrib on back and a foliate script "C" engraved on front; no shoulders. Swage-formed pointed drop on back of bowl. Struck on back of handle with maker's mark "D•L" in raised serif letters in an oval above five hallmarks, a crowned leopard's head in round-bottom shield, sovereign's head facing right in profile in oval, lion passant in shield, Newcastle city mark of three towers in round-bottom shield, and Newcastle date letter "R" in raised serif in a square.
Maker is Dorothy Langlands (died 1845) of Newcastle, England; she was the wife of John Langlands II (active, circa 1795-1804) and continued his business in her name when he died until she retired in 1814.

Double-bellied circular bowl on an ogee-domed pedestal base fitted with a removable, pierced, hemispherical liner with 18 holes arranged into two concentric circles around one at center. Flat-chased and repousse decoration on upper half of bowl features an opposed C-scroll reserve from which bands of flowers and leaves extend to the opposite side. Die-rolled bands of oval bosses and bellflowers at rim of bowl and edge of circular foot. No marks. Centerpunch on underside of bowl.
Six-egg cooker shaped as a large inverted egg held between three S-scroll supports ending in split-scroll feet to which a circular platform with central depression containing a disc-shaped, single-burner spirit lamp is attached. Cast knop of a spreadwing chicken or hen standing over eggs in a nest is secured with wingnut atop the friction-fit cover. Inside is a removable, six-ring caddy or lifter formed around three scrolled wire supports with ring handle. Screw-top burner; cotton wick stuffed inside. Cover stamped incuse "1" inside. No other marks.
Bellied-bowl porringer with angled rim and bossed bottom; cast flower-type handle with tongued or linguiform bracket is pierced with 13 voids and struck sideways once on top with partial circular touchmark of Samuel Hamlin Jr., containing a spreadwing eagle, head facing left, with anchor in shield against wing at right, "HA[MLI]N" and "PROV[IDENCE]" in raised serif letters in banners above and below. Small sink hole under rim from tinker's dam used to burn handle on to bowl. Very faint turning marks on underside of boss.
Circular urn-shape pitcher on a beaded, conical pedestal base with matching, hinged lid topped by a cast bulbous vase that covers the inset curved spout. Flat-chased and engraved floral and strapwork designs decorate the incurved neck and ovoid body. Bands of large beads at rim and bottom of neck and base. Cast, leafy scrollwork S-curve handle has a flared shell or fan for the upper socket and a split-scroll lower terminal. Underside of rounded bottom is struck with an incuse circular mark for "R[OGERS, SMITH &] CO." curved around "NEW / HAVEN / CONN." Underside of pedestal is scratched "182". Used with stand DL.60.1147; from same service as teapot, DL.60.1146A.
Two-tined carving fork having a chamfered baluster stem with hinged safety guard and integral single-groove ("Yankee") bolster; flat, rounded-edge ivory block handle; tang is secured with a single pin near center of handle.
