Electric, revolving hook, sewing machine, Singer Mfg. Co. Exhibit skeleton No. 101-3. Standard machine for household use, equipped with a special rheostat for securing slow-speed operation. The machine is supported by a nickel-plated stand fastened to a walnut base. A reflecting mirror and electric light are used to make visible all parts of the working mechanism which is controlled by an automatic switch or push-button. This machine, Serial No. AB281588, on April 13, 1929, was returned to the SInger Sewing Machine Co., in exchange for a similar machine, Serial No. G920121, which has been chromium-plated for exhibition.

Width on the machine is 45" and 8 breadths are made at one time. The design, is taken from an old German wool embroidery. The colors are old rose, gold, and blue.

Small allover pattern of circles and squares produced by a weave inspired by the earliest hand-drawn (meaning withdrawn thread openwork) linens. Used as a background for decorative embroidery work as well as for curtains. Color: Dark Egyptian (Ecru)

Width on the machine is 45" and 8 breadths are made at one time. The design is a stripe effect, with the pattern and colors taken from an old Rumanian linen tablecloth. Colors: old rose, gray, and green.
Quaker Lace Co. "Oxford Cross Net" length, 1926. Cotton net yard goods made on a craft-lace curtain loom in open square mesh. Produced by omitting every third warp. Width on the machine is 45" and 8 breadths are made at one time. The design, in solid squares, is taken from an old Bohemian cotton print made in Prague, Czecho-Slovakia. The colors - orange, gold, and black, are identical with the original fabric. 1 sample.
