Chased and repousse circular dish or saucer with upturned edge decorated as a peacock or plumed bird; head (possibly extended into a handle) broken off. Iridescent finish. Struck incuse at center of underside "SAMURAI SHOKAI. / YOKOHAMA. / STERLING." in sans serif letters.
