Train
Amtrak train service to Washington, DC arrives at Union Station in downtown Washington, DC.
Bus
Several national bus lines access Washington, DC. The Greyhound bus terminal is located at Union Station; however, other bus routes drop off at points around the city.

Washington, DC is accessibly by 3 major airports: Dulles International Airport (IAD), Reagan National Airport (DCA), and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).
Public Transportation
The use of public transportation, including taxis, in Washington is recommended as free parking is limited and posted times are enforced. Metrorail, Washington's subway system, and Metrobus link the city with nearby communities in Maryland and Virginia. The Federal Triangle and Smithsonian stations, on Metrorail's Blue and Orange lines, are located near the Mall. Every subway station is equipped with an elevator and most with escalators.
