Religion, Science, and Making Sense of Things

Though often overlooked, one of the most significant factors in the development of spiritual traditions in the United States has been the interaction of religious ideas and communities with the scientific and technological advances that have shaped every generation.

Discovery and Revelation explores the dynamic interplay of religion, science, and technology in American history, as seen through three centuries of mutual influence, from the Puritans to the digital age.

Religious and scientific ideas have challenged and changed each other in surprising ways throughout our history; exploring their intersection provides a view of Americans as a spiritually seeking, scientifically experimenting, and endlessly curious people.
