Prince Rogers Nelson was a man of many names and many talents.
Prince fused a range of musical genres, from funk and R&B to synthpop and rock. He delivered this signature sound with unapologetic style and flair, becoming an award-winning and best-selling artist. He was known for his over-the-top persona, but his talent ran deep as a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer.
Prince designed and played this "Yellow Cloud" guitar. It was custom-made in 1989 by the firm Knut-Koupee Enterprises, from the artist's native Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prince's distinctive personal symbol adorns both the top and side of the fingerboard.
