John Rogers is Executive Vice President and Secretary to the Board of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Mr. Rogers is a member of the Management Committee and Chairman of the Goldman Sachs Foundation. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Rogers was a senior fellow at the Baker Institute, Under Secretary of State for Management at the U.S. Department of State, Executive Vice President of the Oliver Carr Company, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, and an Assistant to the President of the United States. Active in historical preservation, he served as a member and Chairman of the President's Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. He is a recipient of the Presidential Citizens Medal, the Alexander Hamilton Award, and the State Department's Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Rogers served as Chairman of the Board for the National Museum of American History from 2008-2012. He formerly served on the Campaign Leadership Committee at Rice University and is a former member of the National Building Museum and the U.S. Capitol Historic Society. Mr. Rogers serves as a life trustee and treasurer of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, Vice Chairman of the Board of the White House Historical Association, Vice Chairman of the Board of the American Academy in Rome, and Chairman of the Board of the Atlantic Council.
