Wiesbaden, July 4th 1892.

 

Reichsanzeiger. Papa Ranft departed for Dresden early this morning. Wife, Frl. + boys at Kurgarten

July 5th Tuesday.

Took my 11th bath, sit up from noon am rapidly improving, and can take longer steps. Mrs. Banzhof from Cologne calls on us. I eat a small pigeon at noon and take but 15 drops of Janes Medicine Weather perfectly beautiful, hot, but I enjoy it. Wife to Frankfurt in afternoon Louis v. Bernuth cables "Electric Cars decided success" Harry D. Low cables that Mrs. Louisa A. St. Miß Julia Cassebeer + Mrs. Rummel sailed today Steamer Lahn. Moulton also cables that road is successfully running

July 6th Wed.

Took my 12th bath, my left leg nearly well but my right leg is now affected. Henry Ziegler cabled from London that they had a splendid trip & arrived yesterday. I sit up all day fairly comfortable, Mrs. Dachauer talks business with me, having come from Paris yesterday. Carl Amann calls, I write a long letter to Freiherr v. Mirbach Potsdam, having recd from Holwede report of his yesterdays audience with Mrs. v. Mirbach, he being sick

July 7th Thursd.

Have to remain in bed, right knee badly affected

July 8th friday.
