Beautiful day, spend forenoon at Office drive out with wife to Central Park & back in the afternoon. At L.K. finance Com. all eve'g, wear Gaiters all day |

Beautiful day, lunch at Wiehls, call on Woerishoffer, on Cotterill. Settle with Joseffy engagement through Tretbar for next season with privilege 7 mos. at $10.000. Luther sends in his resignation to take place in 6 mos. Home in ev'g write L.K. matters take a warm bath. F. G. Smith & Son call about Leominster Property | |

May 10th Tuesday. |
Lovely day. Consult the 4 Nephews as to Luthers resignation. Call at Bk. o. the. Metropolis + look at R.R. bonds. Have talk with Sommer who is willing to go to Astoria + live there Meet Burnett, Williams & Wilson, talk over Flushing Ave. +c. Colby of the Art Journal calls about grand for Sternberg at Chicago, Milwaukee St. Paul +c. First straight leg for Square piano B.C.D. style sent to me which looks quite well. Wife & children at Neuendorffs benefit at Academy. I am at L.K. Building Committee, afterwards L. Kämmerer Abschied |

Despatch at 5 A.M. that Frisia has arrived Proceed to Hoboken, at 8 A.M. meet Papa Ranft and Delius, after taking Ranft to my house, I telegraph "Ranft, Gellertstrasse Dresden Papa arrived safely all well, Steinway Spend eve'g together, it is very warm & sultry |

78 degrees in the Shade at 8 A.M. The first 50 pr. Ct of L.K. building fund subscription begin to flow in. At 11 A.M. by L Road to Cotterill, consult him as to L.K. matters, lunch at Rudolphs with him, wear lighter suit Home in eve'g, play Skat with Ranft sen & jr. The latter wins. I lose 67 Cents. Retire at 11 PM | |
