drink as usual. Meet Ph. Bissinger, drive with wife + Papa Ranft to F. Riedl & wife, we then drive to Elbogen, dine, view prison & snap bridge return at 6 P.M. tea at Salle Saxe with Bissinger | |

Aug 7. Monday |
Excessively cold, wear Overcoat, drink as usual, 10th Moorbath dine with B. at Kurhaus, have felt for several days eruption or pimple on sternum, see "Der kleine Herzog" by Halevy at Theatre, very nice | |

Aug 8. Tuesd. |
breakfast at Pupps after drinkg as usual. Dine at Kurhaus with B. we four drive via Aich around Carlsbad, look at china factories at Pirkenhammer, to Freundschaftshalle, from there walk to Salle Saxe, then home | |

Cool moist weather, 11th moorbath, we all with B. dine at Kurhaus at 4½ walk to Freundschaftshalle, in eve'g at Girofle-Girofla | |

at last a clear day. all breakfast at Pupps. at 12 Papa Ranft, wife & I drive to Dallwitz, dine at Riedls, view factory, buy some china, pleasant afternoon, meet Frank Potter, tea at Pupps with him and Bissinger | |

News that steamer "Mosel" stranded off the Lizard, Aug 9th take 12th Moorbath. Potter leaves in afternoon after dining with all of us at Kurhaus. We four at Theatre in eve’g "Das Spitzen auf der Königin | |

After Brunnen, Papa R. wife + I at 8.52. AM. to Eger, meet Theo. and Chas. Ziegler there, view castle, Rathhaus, return to Carlsbad at 2½ P.M with Theo (while Ziegler calls upon Mrs. Pelikan with whom the little daughter of Reinel Roos lives.) We all walk to Posthof at Carlsbad, hear Liedertafel, afterwards at Pupps, in eveg consult with Theodor | |

fine weather, drink as usual. Theo. departs at 11 A.M. for Leipzig, take 13th Moorbath, at 3½ P.M. with Papa R. & wife to Hans Heiling via Aich, long walk, return by boat on River Eger at 8 P.M. at Pupps, supper with Bissinger |
