drink as usual. bad weather, letter from G. Grove London | |

14th moorbath yesterday. George won 6 florins which I collect. Sanitätschef Dr. Pissling of Brunn examined me yesterday, we also played Skat I losing 2 fl 31 Kreuzer. Today 2d anniversary of my marriage, we rise at 4¾ AM, with wife & Papa R. pass Sprudel, drink, by 6 A.M. train to Kloesterle breakfast there at Goldener Löwe, drive to Kupferberg up Hill, finding telegram to come to Weipert we proceed to Priessnitz, meet Mrs. Ranft, Martha Paula and my baby, who is splendid, we spend 4 delightful hours together, then they return to Wiesenbad, and we via Kloesterle to Carlsbad arriving there at 8.34. PM |

Slight headache. Introduced to John M. Francis, Am Min. to Portugal. George letter, sprained his ancle three weeks ago, 15th moorbath, tea at Pupps | |

Rains all day. Wife leaves for Wiesenbad. I take my 16th Moorbath, dine with Papa R. at Kurhaus. Mrs. A. Roll & daughter call relative to her son | |

rain. drink as usual, pay fl 145. for two last weeks and outlays, take 17th Moorbath, buy cloak for fl. 18. and leather trunk for 33 fl. consult Benedikt Bros; value of City of Milan Loose belonging to the late Regina Roos, none drawn, walk to Schönbrunn. Met Louis Engel | |

take my last and 18th Moorbath, visit Riedls at Dallwitz with Papa R. take dinner, pay bill for China fl 11494 Paid Dr. Grunberger fl 100 and fl 20 for Dr. Pissling. Walk with Papa R. over Hirschensprung for 3 hours. Louis Engel hands me manuscripts Wagner letters, also Copy of the London Times with funny misprint in, wants me to sell translated Wagner letters for him in New York |
