Close up purchase of Douglas place for the Bowery Bay Blg + Impt Comp. and Geo. E. Blackwells Office. In evg at Ottendorfers play Skat with him Loeser & Senner lose 72 Cents | |

Work like a beaver all day. Order shirts and underwear at Wards, at L.K. Bd of Trustee meeting in ev’g | |

Weather still remarkably cool and unsteady Work til 10 P.M. at store Miß Kessler produces her contract with Sleighton Stop again at my N.Y. house. | |

June 4th sat. |
Lovely day. Chas. H. St. was 30 years yesterday, and my George is 22 years old today, which celebrate at Mauers. The sat. half holiday is working mischief everywhere in N.Y. our men in N.Y. factory (piece men) nearly all stopping work at 12 o’clock. Go to Astoria at 4+ P.M. June 5th Sunday. |
Drive all over with Menzl to Beach. Work all afternoon, and in ev’g drive with family all over and take Clam chowder. Home in ev’g working. A sad accident occurs by a swedish boy being killed on my road on Jackson Ave, by running under our horses | |

There was a fair attendance at B.B. Beach yesterday though very cold necessitating overcoats. Work all ev’g at our Mansion at Astoria | |

Candidus telegraphs that his foot was sprained at “Nero” Louisville. Gave bond with Chs. G. St. for the three Kreischer boys in Oyster suit of Post agt them At L.K. in eve’g, become acq. with Hugo Rothschild & Jas. Chaskel | |
