New York + Astoria, Sept. 17th 1887.

Sept 17th Saturday.

Cool but lovely day. Paula to St. Isl. visiting Elsa v. Bernuth. British Consul certified London leases and declarations yesterday, and the certified declarations were mailed to Charles Ziegler by Etruria today.

Sept 18. Sunday.

Beautiful day, I work at office til noon, have a slight Katzenjammer, to Astoria via Hunters Point  Eddy Kreischer & wife there.  Quite a good many people are at Bowery Bay Beach, and a violent Anarchist Meeting at Schützenpark, Herr Johann Most speaking.   At Arion Opening of new Hall, L.K. illuminates, Arion imposing building, remain til 12½ A.M. then to L.K. where we remain another hour.

Sept. 19th Monday.

fine weather. Serious money panic, almost impossible to obtain discounts and I am seriously pestered by F. Grote & Co. and others. At Astoria with George, having dis-covered that H. A. Cassebeer, jr. had without my knowedge and consent built a second office at the rear corner of the R.R. Stable. Have a long talk with about Delehanty, with George, H. A. C. jr. + Wm. H. Williams. Decide to give Delehanty a trial as manager

Sept 20th Tuesday.

Fine day, am awfully busy and pestered by people in need. Send off by steamer “Trave” the two legalized leases of 15 + 17 Lower Seymour street London, also our power of Attorney also letter to Manager of City Bank London. Am at L.K. in ev’g, Music Com. Session Number of German Physicians there who had attended Physians Congress at Washington A delegation from the Arion, J. O. Hundt Werner and another gentleman tell me that I was unanimously elected honorary member of the Arion by the Generalversammlung this ev’g
