Beautiful cool day, at 8 A.M. after taking a nice shower bath, with Fritz + Willie Steins through the Central Park to Schedler's, get Emmy Steins, to Astoria, arrive there at 1 P.M. Spend pleasant afternoon, Steins and Emmy to Brooklyn at 8½ P.M. Play Skat with H. St. & H. Cassebeer, lose 11 Cents |

July 21st Monday. |
Cool beautiful day. To town by L Road. Bad News from M. Gray through Stetson Down to Tafelrunde, see Fritz Steins, resolve to go to Schützenpark this afternoon. Ride up with Mr. Ottendorfer & see him to 12th str. & Broadway. With Fr. Steins, Rummel & Goldstein in Carriage to Schuetzenpark, Volksfest, take supper together, remain there til 7 ½ P.M. drive to U.Sq. Hotel, home at 10 PM |

Take Shower bath, telegram from Stetson, that he had Gray's demand note for $41.000. + asking us to consign 15 pianos to Gray. At 11 AM to Custom house, give bond for two pianos, through Howard & Perry, brokers. Then to Cotterills office, Burt is not in, then see Fuller have talk with him regarding Hale & Weber suits. At Tafelrunde by 2d Ave. Car to Store. Great excitement in the City, by Herald: article on the Jews at Manhattan At L.K. in eve'g, preside. | |

Close but not very hot. Letter from J. P. Hale, who called at my house last night. Papers are full of the Jew Question and we laugh a great deal. See Fuller, make appointment for friday at my house, lunch at Tafelrunde, to Astoria via 23d str. play 66 with C. Schmidt, take a splendid swimbath. |
