New York, Decbr. 11th 1884.

Decbr 11th Thursday.

All papers have the correction even the Volkszeitung. Lawyer Morrison comes, proposes to get my consent to say that we have the right to use Greener Patent __ in his bringing suit agt some large Western Music dealer, I refuse. At 11 A.M.. Mrs. Frank Chickering and Mr. Gildemeester, Chas. H. St. shows them Steinway Upright No 10.467. sold by us Oct 17th 1866. I afterwards show them all the Material collected and assure them that I will aid them in every way in their stand against the pretender, Greener. I lunch at U. Square Hotel, cross 34th Ferry, stop at L. I. C. Star Office and give young Todd a piece of my mind Then proceed via Dutch Kills Road to Broadway, where they are just putting in a curve connecting the Brdwy + B. B. Road with the Dutch Kills road, then walk to Schützenpark, from there to Steinway. Second track on St. Ave. from Schuetzenpark to depot is now completed and being run on. See Nold, Menzl + Campbell. On my way to 34th Ferry stop at Star Office, and Mr. Todd sen. learned from him that Julius von Hünerbein had told Gregory that such a notice was there. I am at store in eve'g, writing + looking over our Uprights piano trade for Chickering-Greener suit

Dec 12. friday.

Rains all day. Sell lots No 1. 2. 3. Block 45 to Jacob & Anton Doelger for $1700. Cash. In eve'g with wife + George to Judge Freedmans house 120 W. 125th str. The Judge gives a fine display of horsemanship, we sing nicely, have a nice supper, and arrive home at 2 A.M. Our baby Theodore commences to walk alone, to the great joy of all of us, especially Willie, who is in splendid health + growth
