New York, Decbr 11th 1886.

  

stool factory. Eat dinner at Cassebeers, it being the 35th birthday of Lizzie Cassebeer. With Ehret,, Geo. A. St. & Cassebeer at Bowery Bay  and Sandfords point, looking over plans +c. Stop at Theo. Steins, then to L.K.  Eat supper, at 9 P.M. Social E'g begins, Mendelssohn Glee Club being invited. They sing splendidly, Adams greets them in english, I conduct the whole Evg in english. It is a magnificent success I remain there until 2 A.M. in the Old German Tap Room

Dec 12. Sunday.

Dark, thawy, gloomy day. Work at Store all day Yesterday Hettie Steinway drove out for an hour in the fine weather yesterday. R. Ranft jr. + wife with us at dinner + supper, I work til 10 P.M. home on Circular of Jan 1/87 to our dealers. Sleep splendidly

Dec 13. Monday.

Rainy gloomy day, Paula becomes 20 years old. Chas. E. Locke telegraphed yesterday to let Seligman matter rest until his return Decbr 27th. Am called upon by Henry A. Cassebeer jr. and Chas. H. Longstreet in relation to furnish boats for passenger travel to Bowery Bay + Sandfords Point Dock. Paula's 20th birthday, Nice Theatre party "Love in Harness at Dalys' Theatre, 20 in all afterwards supper & dance at my house, very nice, I act as Judge in their youthful plays, to bed at 2 AM

Decbr 14. Tuesd.

Directors of B. B. B. + Impt Co. have a business Meeting at Geo. Ehrets Office. Home for supper, then sing with L.K. at Cosmopolitan Hall for Bloomingdale Turn Vereins Fair there, we then proceed to L.K. Home at 11.30 PM

Dec 15th Wed.

Snowstorm, Wife, George + Paula to Van Auws, I to J. F. Pupke 150 W. 57th str. nice stag party there, Kapp, Fr. + Osc. Steins + I sing Quartett, elegant party, make dialect speech get home by Bdway Car after 1 AM.
