Finger getting better, take salicyl only once, at night Am at L.K. in eve’g, Adams is better, still limping. Hein from Milwaukee is there. Miß Fabris appeared as Ellen in Lakmè last night | |

Young Dr. Roos calls from Buffalo. I introduce him to George who shows him Steinway Hall. Work in ev’g. George, my wife + daughter to “Aida” english Opera | |

Rain in forenoon, cleared up nicely, Schotts Recital in afternoon. Quite successful, Am at Bank at 4 P.M. Home in eve’g, working | |

Cold and fine weather. In evg. George + Paula to “Prince Carl”, Wife with her brother + wife to Opera “Copellia” I to Ottendorfers, Skat party, win 61 Cents | |

Cold and clear weather, to Astoria at 1 P.M. after lunching home. Both Louisa A. and Chas. A. St. are hunting for houses. Home in Ev’g working | |

Lovely day. At store in forenoon, then at Arion 11 AM - 1 PM Uhland feier meeting, with wife, Paul, George, Willie and baby Theodor to Bowery Bay, meet Ehret + Cassebeer there. In ev’g at Anton Schotts Concert, who sings splendidly |

Excessively busy all day. In ev’g with wife at first performance of “Nero” by Natl Opera Co. which is gorgeously fitted up and passes off smoothly, Candidus and Miß Juch doing pretty well. Willie and baby Theodor photographed at Rockwoods |

Cold and clear weather. Am at L.K. in ev’g home with 3d Ave. Surface Car at 11 P.M. A heavy cold seems to settle in my head, so that I sleep uneasily | |

Still very cold. My cold is pretty bad. My wife and younger children to Barnum in afternoon. I spend evg at Ottendorfers, play Skat and win 31 Cents | |
