I taking 15th bath, with considerable difficulties. Holwede inally telegraphs that he will be here at 4.54. P.M. Wife + Henry at my suggestion take a drive through Nerothal. I feel somewhat dejected at the obstinacy of my gout and at my slow progress towards recovery. Have a consultation with Holwede + H. Ziegler decide not to make A &B. Grands 7 1/3 Oct. for Europe. beautiful cool weather, had a restful night, Take my 16th bath, can walk through the room without any cane. Mansfeld telegraphes that he is coming by steamer Kaiser Wilhelm to see me and bring papers I cable back to tell him not to come. Have conference of Holwede + H. Ziegler, finish up all our business, they depart with the 5 P.M. train for Frankfurt having been my guests here. I sit up and am comfortable all the afternoon. Henry Ziegler sends a beautiful flower basket to my wife, he and Holwede having been my guests during their stay | |
