Artisan Bread becomes a Viral" Vandough" Project all around the world
In a time of Covid Quarantine it seemed everyone was turning to social media for encouragement, and ideas for stay at home projects. We know sourdough made the list quickly however there was another bread project just as popular. Having had all my baking classes cancelled I decided to post some Artisan bread ideas on social media along with instruction and inspirations.
This became a fast moving , (more then I could have imagined) trend on instagram and very quickly around the world people were creating and posting to the new hashtags, #focacciabreadart, #focacciaart, #focacciagardenart , #focacciagarden. All to soon NYtimes, Good Morning America TV show, food magazines, India newspapers, and even the Daily mail were calling with interviews for articles encouraging this unique and fun stay at home project trend. The Vandough Focaccia Bread art project started around the end of March and continues today. I have had 1000's of inspiring emails and social media messages of thanks and posts showing their beautiful edible creations.
So humbled and Happy to have contributed in some small way encouraging busy fun projects while staying home and staying safe with family.
