Friends in Need, Friends Indeed

Teddy bear

I live in a retirement community in a town called Lititz. (Voted the coolest small town in America by Budget Travel in 2013). Our community has several groups that lend Helping Hands to charities and organizations in the Lancaster County area. But, during the Covid pandemic, one group in particular really reached out. Our sewing group, Sew What +, made thousands of masks for our friends, families, doctors' offices, and hospitals , at no charge. What is more impressive, though, were donations from the community that allowed us to buy more fabric, elastic, and wire to make more masks. I’ll always remember these acts of kindness and caring. I am attaching a picture of a Teddy Bear I made out of scraps of fabric left over from some of our masks. Thank you.
