I am a free-lance photographer for non-profits so as soon as Covid hit, most of my work disappeared. To keep active, I turned my attention to street photography, trying to capture what was happening around me. It give me purpose and a creative outlet and made me focus on the big events as well as the smaller moments taking place around me. The photos included here document the emptiness of city in the early spring, the intense energy of protesters as well as their joy, and some of the many transformations of NY streets and NYers as we boarded and masked up.
