Silverlinings

In 2020, the entire world as knew it would be forever changed, the unique virus COVID-19, would touch the life of every person on the planet.

was laid off in April from my job, I am a x-ray technologist. The first few weeks were spent consuming ungodly amounts of vodka and potato chips and being angry. When finally woke up out of my fog, I decided that I needed to do something with all of my newly acquired free time. started walking every day, working up to walking between 5-6 miles a day. Then decided to do something that I always wanted to do, but never thought that I could. I taught myself to free motion quilt. Cindy Needham quilter extraordinaire, was giving free classes on Facebook. So I practiced and practiced, because I had all the time in the world to practice, no excuses! I call this amazing phase of my life, "My Taste of Retirement", I learned to truly enjoy my free time.

I call this original quilt "Silver Linings", because with every dark cloud there is a silver lining. I believe that with all of the terrible things that have happened with this virus, there will be an amazing amount of good that will come out of it. After all, Shakespeare wrote some of his greatest plays during the Bubonic Plague. I am one of Shakespeare's Girls FYI!
