My first (and have decided ONLY) child was 5 months old in March 2020. I was feeling sad that I was missing everything in his life. But staying home allowed me to be there for his first food, first steps, first words, his naps.. How incredibly lucky to be 100% there. It was hard too. He was hospitalized with Kawasaki syndrome caused by COVID in August and we didn't know if we would keep our jobs. I have never cried as much as I did in 2020. But I didn't miss anything.
